ABOUT THE PLAYS

• The plays have to be already opened in its original country.
• It is desirable that the understanding of the play does not depend exclusively on the language in which it is written.
• The groups must get the authorization from the playwright saying that he/she permits the participation in the Event.
• The performances must last approximately 60 minutes.
• The technical and stage design have to be simple.
• The stage set up must be fast as there will be 2 or 3 performances each day. For the same reason, lighting plan has to be as simple as possible.
• The data about the festival stage will be published soon.

HOW TO APPLY:

• Send a short letter asking to take part in the Theatre Festival for the Cultural Diversity, addressed to the Cultural Director of Universidad Cientifica del Sur (UCSUR) accepting these rules.
• A DVD recording of the complete performance.
• Technical Sheet of the performance (plot, duration, gender, credits, cast and characters).
• List of technical requests (including lighting plan).
• Dossier of the group (CV, telephone numbers, e-mail, web, contact person), reviews of its performances, programs, newspapers articles, etc.
• A letter from the mother institution supporting the group. (Only in case of a group that belongs to a University, Municipality, or so)
• Name of each participant of the group who would come to Lima, specifying his roll in the performance, one photo and passport number.

PARTICIPATING CONDITIONS:

• All the groups will be hosted during its stay of the Festival. The participants have to come to Lima and go back to their countries by their own means. The Organizers do not pay flight tickets. The groups must stay throughout the duration of the festival and must attend the other performances of the event.
•  Participating groups must stay through the Festival and witness all the event´s show program.
• The organization will provide accommodations for 3 nights and 4 days (since one night before its play to the night after day of its play) for up to 6 people. In the case that a group comes to Lima with more than 6 persons, they will have to pay in advance an amount for meals and accommodations.
• All the participants have free entry to all the performances and further activities of the Festival.
• The group must be insured for each of its participants for all the time of his stay in Peru.
• The group has to be willing to offer the performance one or two times more in institutions such as schools, universities, clubs, etc. in case they are required to. The group must also participate in the Festival parade.
• Each group will be paid a money cache (except for university and amateur groups). This cache will be paid after each performance only in case that the group has fully carried out these Festival rules.
• Any activity outside the Festival program will run at the risk of the group freeing themselves the Festival organizer from any responsibility and obligation.
• The Festival organization reserves the right to record, publish and disseminate audiovisual material, workshops, debates, conferences and interventions during the event for the purpose it considers appropriate.
• Each participating group must communicate via e-mail with a note not less than 21 days of the date, time and transport arrival in Lima as well as departure time and date.
• The registration form must be sent mandatory with all the information requested to: produccionfestival@ucsur.edu.pe
• The submission of the proposal implies by itself the automatic acceptance of all the conditions herein.
